So I went fishing last night.  I have a hole in the right boot of my waders.  Here's a warning for anyone out there thinking about going for a swim in the Maumee: it's cold.  Not to worry, though, it's also high and will kill you before the cold really hits you deeply.

So I'm listening to Kings of the Wild Frontier this morning.  This album just gets better each time I listen to it.  Amazing.  How people can not just love some of the twisted New Wave staples is beyond me.  Of course, I'm a die-hard advocate for all things Glam/Punk/New Wave/Post-Punk/Nineties Alternative/Indie ... well, not all things.  I think it's about time for a new name for this genre as it's beginning to become a self-parody again.  On a side note, Power Pop is usually pretty kick ass, too.

I had an epiphany about some database classes I'm working on this morning, too.  It's pretty stupid that I didn't think of it earlier, but I'm also still very much learning a lot of this stuff.  Gee, this inheritance stuff is really complicated.  Ha ha.  I need to study this stuff more ... it seems like I get interrupted every time I do, though.  Some sort of work getting in my way.  Ha ha.

I also need to order my garden.

So after last week's easy exercise week (meaning I pretty much exercised once a day and stuck to my workout without additional weights), I have gained a pound and a half back but I feel much better.  I have a feeling I was right in that I was overtraining and undereating.  I didn't realize I was undereating as I wasn't hungry, but when I looked back on how much I was eating I realized it needed to change.  I'm glad I'm at least awake now.  Plus, I feel better about losing 4.5 pounds in two weeks as opposed to 6 pounds in one week.  Ha ha.  That's at least accepted as a safe amount to lose.  Although, I think everybody who ever thinks they have it tough when they're working out needs to watch this video.  Infreakingcredible.  I watched it and I don't think it would be a bad idea for me to watch it every time I feel like being lazy.  Do me a favor, too ... keep asking how I'm doing.  By "keep asking," I really mean "start asking."  It will keep me in line.  Last week I actually felt a bit lazy, but I had what I think is a valid reason for it and I still kept up with what I see as the minimum exercise.  I just need more flair this week rather than just the bare minimum.

Lost Highway should be in the mail today and the Cohen Brothers box set should be here tomorrow.  Anybody who wants any of the movies in that box set other than Blood Simple, please let me know.  Blood Simple is out of print so it costs $26 plus shipping, whereas the box set costs $37 new with free shipping.  I figured I could eBay the other four movies and get Blood Simple at a relatively normal price.
